Ya, that myth was debunked in the 90s... unless you smoke so much that you really do build up that much CO in your bloodstream to cause brain damage... but then, that'd take I forget how many kilos of weed. (If it were tobacco, you'd OD on the nicotine before you built up that much CO in the bloodstream.) But it does bring up an amazing point about how hard it is to kill false research once it's been put out there. It's like people cling to it like it's Jesus Christ or something.... sheesh.

We could go on a very long rant about the benefits of marijuana over dozens of pharamaceuticals. Quit listening to squares like the Reagans and Nixons and Eisenhowers, daddy-o.

It's not even about people clinging to false research, the worst part for me is people being so aggressively opinionated on subjects they know nothing about. Someone will heavily judge you and sometimes even be angry at you for smoking weed, even though he thinks it's a hallucinogenic drug, he literally doesn't know what it is and he is ready to be negative towards you for it.

This is especially true for psychedelics, tell someone you tried LSD and it's worse than if you tell them you tried heroin in their eyes.

All depends on how much and how often. Small amounts of alcohol regularly are actually good for you. Marijuana (and hemp) have certain substances that are extremely good for the human body.

But yeah, use too much of anything, even the foods we eat for healthy lives, and it'll kill you or worse... sugar, fat, vitamins, minerals... it's all lethal at some level.

"Reserve Officer Training Corp"--It originally started as a college program for students to enter that were planning on joining the military as an officer, but were not attending one of the military academies or schools. Somewhere after WWII (forget exactly when), a "Junior" Corp was started for high school (14-18) students as a way to introduce them to the military lifestyle. It is a real class where students learn military history, leadership skills (which you're hard pressed to find outside of team sports in US schools), as well as opportunities to work with the community. It does have its downsides, such as taking time out from other classes that can be just as important in life, such as learning creativity (arts), physical education, foreign languages, and such.

Hate to be the one to break it to you but wine is actually just fermented grape juice. When people say wine is good for you, they probably don't mean alcohol, otherwise they would say "ethanol in small quantities is good for you", they mean the drink itself, which includes grape juice.
