Even if the car would remain on orbit for some time (not fall or crash into soemthing) Its neat red coloring would probably fade over time. There is a lot of various kinds of radiation in space, so the car will probably look pretty ugly after it has spent some time in space, as the paint and other surface materials have suffered from the radiation.

Depending on the materials used for the parts of car, some of them may even fade completely away.

Yeah Elon Musk said something about how 1. it is literally the most amazing thing he ever witnessed and 2. it look EXACTLY like it does in the simulation and he really didnt expect it all to go this perfectly

For the Musk "haters" and all the failures, I just point at all the issues Goddard and von Braun had when they were designing rockets. Some of the von Braun failures were truly epic and awesome*.

I think they are still havving some problems in production, you can not buy one even if you would want to.

They can send a car to space, but not to customer.

He's a great engineer, and has great visions for the future. Still, he reminds me of some blend of Howard Hughs and Henry Ford... he's enough crazy to do the big things, but sensible and business minded enough to figure out how to make it work... but he's so far only kept the auto and space companies propped up via his other investments. (edit: I've read SpaceX is making marginal profits, but no hard figures are available.)
