I was hoping similar thing would happen with EU. Brexit should've forced EU to get their shit together but their recent initiative to ban memes (in all seriousness, it would ruin the internet as we know it) doesn't give good picture of our Bureaucrat Overlords.

Can't ban a meme without jackbooting all over freedom of speech... that said, can't ban the meme cause it just isn't going to be possible. It'll be like trying to ban alcohol, and we all know how that went. (Those that know US history, at least...)

Yeah, Trump has too much ego to be anyone's puppet. Russians still likely did some internet campaigning in his favor, but it wasn't quid pro quo, they simply thought Trump was easier to deal with than Hillary.

Bigger the ego, easier it is to manipulate without being noticed. It's a sad fact of psychological warfare. Even if a person is "unpredictable" in their actions.

As far as Hillary, the Russian gov definitely didn't want to have to deal with her. Things might have gotten less comfortable as there are cries out there to increase sanctions on them for their "anti-democratic" actions and various other actions--such as Ukraine--in the world. (Note that I'm not saying this is any better than what the US has/is doing in the world, but as the golden rule goes... "he who has the gold, makes the rules." )

I really don't like the relaxed approach to Kim that Trump and the meme-makers are taking. Trump is using the same kind of language he used after the racist Charlottesville riots with "bad people on both sides." I get that it can be a tactical decision to make him feel comfortable during talks but brushing aside his past actions will only validate him and make his threats more common in the future

Kim is a dictator and minimizing it is not the way to go. There are thousands of people in gulags for things their family members have done and there are many cases of Kim just being totally brutal to his people.

I stop short of calling you a Trump-hater; but this is the kind of rhetoric that came from Trump-haters ever since the election results came out. These kind of doomsday predictions had college students in America...young ADULTS...hyperventilating and needing medical and psychiatric care. Victims of their own political bias and the fear mongering of the left. "Trump's going to start a nuclear war" Twice now he has taken steps to prevent one. "Trump's going to make America the laughing stock of the world." No. That was President Obama who went on a world apology tour, bowed to dictators, and paid off hostage takers. Let me give those haters and fear mongers a hint. Trump is a lot smarter than you and me; and he is not going to do any of the things you all secretly hope he does just so you can say "See? I told you so!" He is not going to cause any of the disasters you all are predicting in order to put terror and opposition in the hearts of young minds full of mush. Oh, and just to let you all know; Your terrorism isnt working. That's right. Deliberately causing terror in order to affect political gain is THE DEFINITION of terrorism. President Trump's approval rating is higher than President Obama's was at this same point in his tenure. And President Truymp's approval rating is still rising while President Obama's was falling at this point in his administration.

Is that why Canada, France, the UK, and others are wetting themselves in dismay about him actually taking steps to eliminate the trade deficit? the uninformed/misinformed rank and file may laugh in derision like ignoratn children, but the world leaders in the know all either fear him or respect him because they know he is serious about MAGA. You want America to stop being the world police? This is how that's done. Trump is stopping the US from being the world's One-Stop-Welfare-System handing out everything from military equipment, training, and protection to cash, food, and meds, all at the US Taxpayer expense.

His message to the world is loud and clear. "You dont want us hear cleaning up your mess? Fine! We dont WANT to be here cleaning up your messes. Clean up your own mess, and do it at your own expense!"

Only by those who are misinformed or uninformed. People all over America are now laughing at you. And at Europe. And regardless of what some Europeans may believe, Europe is not "the world"
