Yea everyone mines with a pick but only select few fight slime with it.

You know, that head is about 10-12 pounds (~5 kg) of hardened iron. No reason it wouldn't count as a blunt weapon that could be swung mightily in a circle to great effect.

Back when gods were creating hearthlands, they used to emit all their bodily fluids to the layers of sedimentary rock. Because of that, hearthlings can sometimes find weird oozes from the caves while digging!

slimes are easy to deal with if you have 80-plus defense they will not hurt you at all you probably don't even need that much I'm just saying that cuz that's my maximum defense and they don't do s*** and I took on 30 of them with 100 unarmed combat and I only chose to punch them
it took me 10 minutes to do it cuz it wasn't really a good strategy but I was able to do it
I highly recommend having punch them both on your skill set I didn't have time to set up mine that's why I just punch them
matter fact try to keep them around and farm them for a while there's slime make some nice things and they can spawn on level one

Try to mine out atleast five on l5 and see what your 80 defense is.
