You can make little money with a "bad" job and still be way more happier than somebody who is well off.

You can make little money with a "bad" job and still be way more happier than somebody who is well off.

THANK YOU, before when I was making $20 an hour I would lay in the back seats of my car at night and cry thinking about the starving children in africa who cant make $20 an hour. I'm much happier now flipping burgers and making minimum wage. I've taken the moral high ground and I can finally sleep at night unless there is a lot of traffic.

The mistake that most people making is going to university because they feel that they have too. If you just want to make money, I would recommend doing an apprenticeship for a trade. If you aren't interested in what you do you'll never put any effort in and never get anywhere with it. If even you finish your education you'll spend the rest of your life regretting it.

I'm doing my engineering degree because I love working with machines and physics. My best friend did a nursing degree because he thought it would be an easy way to make money and he agrees that it was way easier than the manual labor he does now. But he failed in his final year because he hated the work so much.

I actually have boundless respect levels for anyone who studies the sciences. You will probably only make as much as a laymen does. Financially it's a poor choice but scientists have done, and will continue to do more good for society than anyone. This kid gets it.

I generalised. Most people who value money more than anything are shallow and boring. Just observe real life examples, and don't pull out the few exceptional cases.

Really it depends what you intend to do with the money. The rothschilds or whoever are arguably the richest family around. They do nothing of value or note with their finances. I watched some 8nterview on one of them and the most interesting thing he did with his life was an admittedly very impressive insect collection.

I do question the time requirement and the way Universities operate to make a profit.

The general issue with commercializing something is that usually sooner than later the focus shifts from 'creating something for a good reason' to 'make money, preferably plenty and fast'. This can be shown in basically every field. I can't grasp why there are people (which don't personally profit from this, for that group I can see that greeds overpowers brain) who think that this is a good idea by any metric.
