This goes beyond health care in the US. Massive reforms are needed to housing, welfare, and other assistance programs*. Part of that is making sure jobs are where they are needed, part of that is just making sure everyone gets a certain standard of living. As usual, both sides need to work towards the middle, things will exist your views can't accept ('you' being the politicians needed to pass such acts), but to make a better tomorrow, you'll have to swallow the bitter pill.

*forgot criminal law reform, too. Try being labeled a sex offender living in Florida. Try being a former gang member with a list of violent crimes on your rap sheet anywhere, even if you were just the guy caught up because you didn't know any better or couldn't see a way out.

Look at the dates and how spread out they are in 2018. There's a 'mass' shooting every week and in some cases every day or two

You can't go around every day being scared of guns. That's going to kill you faster than cigarettes. Worrying that is. Being in Texas, sure, lots of people have guns (I've got quite a collection -30+) but I'm pretty sure 98% of the population isn't some trigger happy murderer that the media tries to make you (apparently successfully) believe everyone who owns a gun is.

FUN FACT: My liberal democrat lesbian aunt who works for the government in the parks sector freaked out so hard that the government is "shut down" (which is a bullshit over-reaction over statement) that she applied for food stamps, un-employment, and some other non sensical shit that I let go in one ear and out the other due to how ridiculous it sounded. She and her wife are pretty damn well off. And they reacted like THAT? Come on...

Anyways. To finish up here. Mass shootings and gun murders aren't the problem of a gun, or mutliple guns, or whatever weapon of your choosing (take the knife gangs in UK for example. They got gun control too huh?). It's the people doing it that is the problem. Right. Left. Doesn't matter despite what the media tries to politicize. Still a murderer.

Oh, quick add in-
Most Hispanic and Black communities see government help, aid, betterment programs as a violation to their culture. Like, they're being given a hand out that they don't need and would rather proudly and independently work their way through their (community) problems. And they have that right, as it is, to refuse. But it's a vicious circle without many outs for those who even would choose said way out. I've seen first hand friends who've had their entire family turn on them for getting out of the "hood" (as laughable as that may be and sounds it's pretty disappointing/sad to actually see it happen). Like, be happy for those who broke the cycle. This dude isn't gonna have to sell drugs, or carry a gun, or get some chick knocked up at under 18 and be locked down in said cycle. Shit it's been 11 years since he told his family he's going to college and I don't think they've attempted speaking to him. So yeah, social programs don't work often, but if and when they do, it's up to the people of that community to use them.

I just watched an interview with the president of the federal prison guard union in California. Almost all of them are in very tight positions given the cost of living relative to their salaries. More than a few of the employees have had to pick up extra jobs as they have to show to work despite not getting paid.

Yes, unemployment benefits are potentially on the table during a shut down as it's considered a furlough. So far none have lasted long enough for said benefits to kick in. This might be the first. As far as the reaction... some people are just drama queens, but to lose your paycheck over something so stupid as a border wall? Can't say I'd react any less.

Funny thing is this shutdown is all over that damn wall which nobody wants other than internet trolls and a few talking heads. Even the GOP refused to pass any legislation regarding it... and now the Dems get blamed? This is why I can't stand most of the GOP. Trump was a failure as a CEO, and now he's failing as President of the USA... but I think I called it a couple years ago.

There's no introspection. It's simply internet bullying.

So, please tell me your thoughts on the following topics:

1) Immigration.
2) Gun control.
3) Abortion.
3) The electoral college.
4) Mormons, Jews and baptists and why religion sucks.
5) Trump (feel free to dump on Obama, Clinton, Bush and Reagan)
6) Republicans, democrats and libertarians and why they suck compared to European political parties.
7) The parliamentarian system versus democratic republicanism IE; the American bicameral system.
8) How awesome it is to live in Sweden versus someplace not ice cold 4 months out of the year, for instance, America.
9) Slavery, The War Between the States and variations on the myth of the Lost Cause and;

12) Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
13) Dresden and the Battle (bombing) of Hamburg.
14) Why Stalin is better man than George Washington.
15) Fascism in the US (while willfully ignoring fascist Italy, Germany, Finland, Bosnia, Romania &c &c &c.
16) White nationalists in South Carolina and Trump. And;
17) Why violence committed by radical leftist European Black Bloc is okay.
18) The genetic differences between white Americans and white Europeans and why Euro DNA is superior.
19) Endless harping goes here.
20) The 1964 civil rights bill (why Barry Goldwater sux)

1. I think immigration should be restricted to only work-based immigration. Refugees etc. should not be taken at all. And if the immigrant commits crimes or gets unemployed soon, deportation.

2. Gun control should be strict, owning or buying a gun should not be possible, except maybe hunting rifles with some permits, as some people live in areas where they may be needed. (For example, people who do reindeer-herding may need them to defend their herd from bears and wolves)

3. I think abortion should be forced if it appears that the child has some serious genetic disability, mental or other. In other cases its decision of the baby-carrier.

4. I don't think that religion sucks, some religions are great, they give some people meaning to their life. Some religions have some bad things though, when the religion tells you to kill heretics or to refuse from blood-transfusions and such.

5. I think that Trumps is a great guy. There are no boring days anymore, when you read his latest tweets from twitter!

6. Having only 1, 2 or 3 parties does not give you that much choice. In Finland for example, we have many parties so people have a lot to choose from. Different parties have different agendas and so on.

7. I am not that familiar with american system but I think that democracy does not really work. Most people are stupid and people vote for people who lie about what they will do when they get elected, and then don't do anything that they promised. So what is point of voting if you don't know what the guy that you vote for will do?

8. I think Sweden is a terrible country when compared to Finland. I would not want to live in america, you have lot of problems, guns, pollution, politics, fat and ugly people. I'd rather move to some country named Japan, I have heard only good things about it if we exclude the bad things!

9. I think slavery should not be brought back, I am not that familiar with all of the wars that US has been in. Slavery is not good thing but its a fact that it can bring lots of wealth to country that uses it!

10. I don't know that much about Indians in America, but I think that primitive-native-people cause problems. There are Sami-people in Finland who often cause problems because they get offended of many things and say that people are stealing their culture and what not, I think that its annoying!

11. Who are they, I have never heard of them.

12. I think that US cities should get the same fate as a revenge.

13. I am not that familiar with the thing, bombing is bad I think!!

14. Cool mustaches

15. I don't really know anything about fascism in usa.

16. I don't know and I don't care.

17. I don't think it is okay.

18. I don't think that the issue in america is genetics, the issue is people and their brains.

19. what

20. I have no idea what that is

This is true. Trump is a great source of comedy gold! After all, shouldn't we all appreciate a person's good qualities and not just judge their bad?

I don't know about Sally Hemmings, but anyone that wants to discuss modern politics should know Thomas Jefferson... should probably also know Alexander Hamilton and his writings, too.

I think that you do not have to know who he is. Americans think that they are all important but the reality is that no one cares about some old american presidents!

and we all think you are retarded Shubla. America has the largest economy in the world by a uber large margin, and influences the entirety of it. Yes, America is important, it literally effects your country. google anything that harmed the US and surely expect it to have harmed your country, IE great depression, 9/11 WTC collapse, etc.
