Not no lifing and burnout like I always do.
I know it's a lost cause though.

I want to create a local economy that runs on its own currency. I'd like to see more economic competition.

Might be a rogue and do some stealing, never really done it before besides stealing from abandoned claims that still have some auth left. Maybe do some espionage and kill the local mean village from the inside. Becoming a hearthlands Robin Hood and stealing from established people and giving to newbs sounds fun. Either that or i'll go total opposite and become a neighborhood ranger and harass people that harass newbs and friends. Further confuse my neighbors with strange quotes and phrases. I liked the punching a bear goal, that's been a personal goal of mine since i started playing the game. Like all other worlds i plan to hermit solo and do very little trading with any big villages or tradeposts like CF, becoming self-sufficient is my favorite thing to do. Actually making my own small trading post would be awesome, although hard to maintain. I've yet to die in Hafen due to a player and i'd like to either keep that going or have my first real PvP death be a valiant swordfight with a criminal who murdered my best friend.

Also need to keep the trend of naming my first horse Butt Stallion, that's an important one!
Total misplay.

I will stay with playing hermit but I am hoping to have a friendly village nearby so I can try trading for once. Just so can finally combat the paranoia this game gives me every time I see a white dot on the map.. I start slamming that teleport to hearthfire shortcut like a mad man.
But playing for the last two months actually every person I've met turned out to be kind of friendly so yeah.. Maybe it is time..

Beginning has everyone very territorial and self-sufficient. Then when people start disappearing due to excuses (burnt out), everyone starts looking for new friends. And then everyone is nice for the rest of the world. With the exception of some crazy people that love being bad and gets eliminated by force in 2nd to 3rd month anyway.

As a rule of thumb, everything that makes life easyer and less boring/grinding for players is a great idea. Everything that makes the game harder is crap coming from sadistic tendencies of Jorbtar helped by the few players with the same kind of disorders.

For a newbie, they're not boring, they're friendly and helpful. For a PvPer, well, I don't like PvPers. Really.

My long term goal is to build and maintain a really pretty claim. Maybe it's kind of a carebearish goal, but I just ain't into fighting.

I also want to explore the oceans.

not really theres quite a few who have the same goal of maintaining a pretty claim. ide suggest exploring with an alt. though it can be dangerous out there alone
