Maybe Wiki is "slightly" off on the amount of Per * Exp needed?
Wiki forage results have always been somewhat educated guesses, but the wiki is not super well maintained these days because not enough people are willing to help. The few wiki contributors do their best, but there's so many aspects to the game and base mechanics are re-written often enough that it's a monumental task to keep it up to date (or to even notice what parts are out of date actually).
And I usually get yelled at whenever I mention this. My thanks to the hard work, I do use the wiki a fair bit even if I double check a lot of the info. Recently found out my authority values were wrong and that was a big help.
