If a monthly subscription is P2W then the concept has really been diluted over the years.

It isn't a subscription IE H&H, in order to do basic stuff like mine, farm or build, or even make a claim, you need to pay for it.

You can also buy said subscriptions via in-game money but it's an exorbitant amount, so only big villages can do it, it's a rich-get-richer scheme.

If you're piss poor and can't afford the $15 a month sub... sure, but then that's a supply and demand issue of those willing to sell said in game tokens vs those willing to buy them. Doesn't make it P2W. That makes it a pay to play game. It's like having lvl 20 as a hard cap in WoW on trials along with a ton other restrictions, like being limited to cruisers and frigates (and no tier 2) in EVE.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Someones ark noobness is showing
Pump melee and its 5 hits max depending on quality of club.
Or just pump speed and use flamethrower and kill someone in one hit "SHRUG"

I think most people hate Ark mostly cause no one shares the secrets of the game

Heads up it is not the game you think it really is...
If you are farming/grinding you are playing it wrong.
If you built a base YOU ARE PLAYING IT WRONG

There is billion games like Ark/Rust the problem is none of them have population.
I am hopeful that starbase maintains a population.

For dead ones? Conan Exiles, Citadel Forged in Fire , Cyrofall , Dark and Light , Atlas
All these types of games are dead.

HnH is boring af and dead cause it is nothing but botters delight
Conan Exiles is dead cause horses unbalanced, exploits have been used in the game from launch like max all stats, and undermesh is a feature according to devs
Citadel Forged in Fire was was ignored by devs
Cryofall is lacking in lot of regards
Dark and Light dead cause devs too busy working on Ark/Ark2
Atlas , mostly same above except they keep changing things for the worse like removing all customization on ships.

Ect... Ect...

That's not pay-to-win, though. That's just pay-to-play.

Exactly.

Also unless there have been drastic changes to Wurm Online, you can build a house and lock it without a sub and wall off a plot and put a locked gate on it without a sub. This was a bit of a problem at times because high level players would build high quality walls around huge areas of forest to control animal spawns which made grinding combat difficult.

Good luck breaking those high quality walls in your first twelve months of grinding your strength haha. Good luck breaking any wall in your first nine months haha. Even if you do they will only replace it tomorrow and you can spend another sixteen hours bashing a low stone wall to get back in again. PvE servers do brew their own pot of failures.

Besides there were always plenty of opportunities for even a fresh spawn to earn enough in-game silver for a sub and you can snowball from there. Claim ownership is overrated. Established claims have better bonuses.

In a game like Wurm you are always at the merxy of the established veterans. Just look at what they did to the dragons.

Wild Terra Online

Both games are pretty much a Ultima Online / Haven and Hearth rip-off hybrid.

I've heard 100 times over that Rogalia is total shit, but I totally forgot about WIld Terra, seems that it has improved lately based on steam reviews.

Anybody here ever play it? Is it open world PVP or how does it work? The steam page seems to lack a lot of critical info.

Its total crap.
It has 0 players on majority of the time and max maybe 5 people on 6 different servers.

The game is open world pvp meaning you can pvp any time anywhere with all 0 players.

The siege/raid system is brokenly bad and pretty much non-existing.
And you can only siege/raid for half hour every other day.

You have to grind to unlock recipes.
So you walk around the EXTREMELY small map for two hours to find what is called "godsends" little things you click to get maybe if lucky 1 random schematic part.
But typically something useless like bread... did I mention how small the map is?

You need like 10 parts to unlock a recipe.

The game is extremely heavy cash shop influenced meaning cash is king.
All items have random quality from 50% to 150% and nothing you can do influences it but keep mass crafting bunch of crap.

The game use to be a buy to play with massive cash shop now its free to play with even more massive cash shop.

There is its exact clone called Wild Terra 2 which is suppose to have even less PVP and even more cash shop with updated graphics.
Though really majority of the graphics like item icons look they came from wild terra 1.
Wild Terra 2 doesn't even have any type of siege/raid mechanic "yet", with majority of its player base focusing on farmville style and removing any existing pvp it has
Which is only very little in very specific "maps"

Heres random post that was top'ish post as I just posted this.. I almost just pulled randomly from hat to prove this.
