Just drop a text list of verified/trusted Thingwall's in the first post ("Name, x, y"). As some alternative backup. Makes the act of vandalism kinda pointless (demotivation).

Here is screenshot from my ingame map (I circled the missing Thingwalls) and the corresponding location on the public map.

These Thingwalls are especially important, because they allow for quick transport between the Northern and Southeastern continents :?

I think that the first link in OP is to a modifiable map, but the second link near the strike-through text is to read only map.

I can't prevent the vandalism from occurring, I can only fix it in a few clicks (notably fewer than it takes to vandalize the map). Sadly, I cannot do this while I'm asleep so some 'downtime' may result. The missing Thingwalls have been re-imported from my backup map now.

I already have the backup map which is that except it requires basically no effort to re-add the markers. If you're worried about the downtime, you can make a personal copy (as I recently added to the OP):
VDZ wrote:EDIT2: Markers have been re-imported (thanks to Shubla for adding this feature) and you can add Thingwalls again. You can also make a personal copy by clicking this link to start a new map, clicking 'import & share markers' and entering the public Thingwall map URL.

I removed the whirlpool marker at 125, 192 as it's not there anymore. Either that or I'm blind. While I'm at it, does anyone know where the whirlpools currently are? I want to push an alt through one.

Unless the rules regarding them changed, whirlpools themselves never change locations. Only the links between them (which one leads to which one) change over time.

I'm there right now and there's nothing so someone must have made it up.

I see some users have trouble finding the name of a Thingwall. It might help to put a note about how to do that in the OP.

Perhaps something like: "If you have clicked a new Thingwall, its name should popup by hovering your mouse over its icon in the map window(both)."
(adjust/correct whatever I got wrong in there)

Would it be possible to add vortexes to this map as well? I would love to see a world map that included all known vortexes, it would surely help people manage their way to discovering thingwall routes and getting between continents

It seems to me that this version of the Thingwall-map is somewhat outdated compared to the one shubla is linking to on his world map post/topic.
