It is possible to separate out the many things that went wrong here to address them each individually. We wouldn't be here having this conversation if the hearthling had only been knocked out, if their body hadn't been dragged off to the crypt at the sacrificial temple of Tlaloc, Aztec god of the rain, or if they hadn't been carrying their master key while outside but close to their palisade walls.
