Maybe hearing it from a new player perspective will highlight how dumb key mechanics are. I think almost everyone who actively posts here has asked for gates to work with permissions to avoid having to learn this the life ruining way.

He got KO'd with his master key bro while AFK bro, this is strictly a skill issue thread

Right, because the torture scene in A Clockwork Orange depicts optimal gameplay.

This game has worked this way for so many years.

Don't be a clown with gate keys. Visitor gates exist to put this rule on easy mode.

Yikes. Yikers. Yikeroo. Yikeroni.

Welcome to Haven

A million deaths of embarrassing and heartbreaking detail await you whenever you play, and AFK is never de way.

But, in your grasp is the resilience to keep trying. The feeling you have now can be fuel to forge a better place in the Hearthlands than you've ever seen before. You can get back at your enemies in a million more ways than you can die, take it from a petty fool like me. ;)

The choice will always be yours.

It is possible to separate out the many things that went wrong here to address them each individually. We wouldn't be here having this conversation if the hearthling had only been knocked out, if their body hadn't been dragged off to the crypt at the sacrificial temple of Tlaloc, Aztec god of the rain, or if they hadn't been carrying their master key while outside but close to their palisade walls. The last one of these things has to do with victim's learned habits, the others don't.

I'm beginning to think you're just playing the helpless whiny victim character in a poor attempt at trolling.

I've got a dream where JnL decided to throw away the whole concept of keys and implement locks on HS logic.
But then I woke up and start changing locks on all of my safepalies.
