? Ur saying this world is short? I didn't watch the latest dev stream but AFAIK this world is a long 1

Their original plan was to use the Steam and website client split to enable the use of parallel worlds, this is now gone. they have no current way to have 2 servers running with the client able to pick one and as the haven client directly connects this would need to be a clean client update that also informs players well. Ergo is not happening.

It's possible that I've misunderstood something, or fallen to fake news, but...

People literally datamined a World selection UI. This was before the change in plans, or very least, before w16 went live.

Confusion could also come from latest stream, where this topic were discussed again. I don't remember conclusions they made on that stream for that topic, and I'm lazy to search through 2 hour video for that part, but this statement might differ from previous views on wipe.

Yep, this is the last statement on the topic. Thanks for sharing it. Do we have a more recent one that cancels it or is it just a speculation they won't be able to make it happening because: "insert toxic comment"

Having only short worlds and no long world in parallel would definitely remove a large chunk of player base.

Me, at the very least. And I would bet, a lot of other non-casual players as well.
6 month `fly` by. We're already 2 month in. 1/3 of the world? Heck no. No subscription from me then. What's the point?

Still, I do believe that the casual base would enjoy the idea of short worlds. But this is a fallacy. Even when they start on day 1 they will quickly fall behind.
It's say in a week. HnH is just huge. Touching all of its mechanics in a small group takes a lot of time. Staying competitive is harder still.

It says in parallel though so maybe they will have a long running world and a shirt world acting almost as a test server ? Could that be a possibility. Or you know a separate world that usually would be shorter and the other longer. So the shorter one would intise casual players , and maybe some others. But I agree making two world just seems like it'll kill the already fairly small player base . With it being in steam store or not .again it says launching another world in parallel to 16 that doesn't mean they would wipe it . So maybe this will be the longest world in haven history that'd be pretty cool with a second world for anyone looking to learn the game with less people or whatever their reasons. Or like I said a test server with a growing server pop adding more consistently might be the end goal as well and a test server would help with working out the wrinkles

Misled? I spoke to Loftar about this directly. The best answer he gave me was they would run 2 short worlds but no definitive plans. I don't want to spend the better part of a month building a market for it to be gone in 3ish months.
