Nope, Didn't really think of it. But then again, maybe I should have. But I really do not think it would change anyone's mind. Those that know, already know, and I have spent so much typing wordage on the botting subject that I am confident of the findings just from those pages.

Yes, footage of something would not convince anyone.

The reality of this is that you're yet another case of the strange phenomena that is "practically every legacy player has some form of constant delusion or schizophrenia".
Instead of a realistic point of "scout bots exist but aren't commonly used because @everyone'ing people 100 times for naked alts with buckets sucks", you go with PERIMETER ALARM BOTS THAT <<LOOK>> AT YOU.

There are three reasons why a scout bot would even look towards you:
1. They're trying to chat spam you.
Not the case, as otherwise you would no doubt have mentioned it or taken a picture.
2. They're trying to memorize you.
What exactly would be the point of thousands of memos on a disposable alt when GobIDs have been global and nearly every public client has had randomized names based off of GobID numbers for multiple years now?
3. They're trying to follow you.
Same as point number 1, if this had happened, you would have called it out at minimum.

So while yes, before I believed in you that there might have been scout bots at use, the very fact that you had to over-dramatize this with your imagination assures me that DDDsDD999 was correct here, and that it was just people sitting AFK with alts, waiting for an alarm.

The what now? Sure the gob id's are the same across different concurrent sessions, but gob will change id's if they are out of everyone view range for a while. Is there a secret way of keeping them persistent that I didn't know of?

Yeah I don't think that's something that was publicly available for years now either. I know it's been used by Snail's group for example to identify players with randomized names like "scum sucker" or w/e but I don't recall seeing that in any public client except maybe Hurricane most recently.

Sure, i also forgot about the week-lock if nobody got to that level yet. Might as well make it a month, because do you really think a week is keeping players from reaching lower levels and allowing hermits or newbies to catch up? It's so pointless and middle-of-the road i didn't even remember it existed. It will take much more than that to reach the strength to mine below anyway long after factions are already hunting everybody down. I've gotten to steel last world and even knowing everything there was to be done merely guzzling food and farming/trading for tools and gear still took me north of two months with a 10-20h/week investment.

Yes I was not very far behind them until semi recently, I'm alone.
And me falling a lot more behind semi recently has more to do with me being bored with the game than the mechanic not allowing to catch up.
I'm sure a group of 2-4 dedicated players can for way longer.
And if you expect to be at the same point than no life/big groups HnH clearly isnt the game for you.
Play some moba or something , not a survival MMO where the core gameplay is about increasing your quality and working as a group.
I choose to play solo, but I have the decency to not expect the same thing than people who play as big groups.
