Although, drug dealers and cartel workers, while not "terrorists" strictly speaking, are not good for us - as Americans, more importantly as people. They make a living off of someone's crippling. It'd be like me giving someone AIDS, and then I'd go make money off of them by selling them the drugs they need for their bodies not to be overwhelmed by the common cold.

I've been seeing this sentiment a lot from pro-Hillary articles and individuals. I find it boggling honestly. Bernie Sander's campaign very specifically targeted independent (idiot voters) and young voters, demographics that weren't likely to vote otherwise. Hillary's campaign has worked to attract the core democratic voters. Why would voters who weren't going to vote for you anyway suddenly decide to vote for you? Because it's either Hillary or Trump? That argument will sway some but Hillary still hasn't made much of an effort to attract independent or young voters. So? Are we your personal army now? Simply here to ensure your political wants?

I'm a core democratic voter and honestly the level of condescension from pro-Hillary articles in particular has made me question whether or not I want to vote at all in this coming election. I may just bear the brunt of being at fault if the 'wrong' candidate gets elected because I chose not to vote.

Worse, many central and left leaning registered Republicans also moved closer to the left to vote specifically for Bernie. Do you really think they're going to stay there simply to try to keep their party out of office?

Truth be told, I am an independent just because I am not hypocritical enough to join a party and drop half of its doctrine down the toilet.
My party supports my ideals. Neither of the big two does that for me.
But Democrats are hardly the only ones who think independents are tetched. I get odd looks and odd comments from my Republican friends all the time. (Nebraska is still WAY better than the other 49.)

That wasn't an insult, that's the official term for independent voters. AKA Swing Voters.
Idiot voters, or low information voters, are categorized as being less likely to vote, being more likely to be swing voters, and tend to vote for candidates they find personally appealing rather than voting for a party specifically.

I was mostly pointing out the fallacy of assuming that that categorical voter would be loyal to a party. Many Sanders supporters weren't voting Democrat, they were voting Sanders. They would have voted for him regardless of what party he ran under, Dem, Rep, Independent, or other.
