Lol, gratz on the troll kill and there's you having us believe you are a barely settled nomad!

Did you kill it alone, with help, with alts ... ?
Which level was it on and did it give you a chance to escape before an attack?

I've started mining again but I'm extremely wary and only do it for a smelters worth at a time as I keep feeling I'm pushing my luck and they seem to be a bit more common than in legacy ... I don't want to die, lol, hence all the questions. :)

I killed it alone.
It was on the first level, pretty close to the cave entrance.
I did escape before it attacked (though I'm not sure if I was just lucky or if could have out-ran me due to how close I was to the entrance).

However the range of my bow couldn't quite reach it so I placed varying barricades (stockpiles, boats, logs, whatever I could find really :P ) to block it from me (in case it did get close). And I kept a fair distance while waiting for it to turn it's back. It easily destroyed a few blockades.

I have marksmanship 18, a quality 15 Hunter's bow, and it died in about 2 to 3 hits (I'm not sure if the first shot actually hit it).

Thanks! Lots of helpful info there, so apparently not too difficult to kill on level one then. My stats are quite a bit higher than that which eases my worries somewhat, so as long as I can escape before it launches an attack I should be able to return and kill it by following your methods, hopefully, lol.
