It is. Once a good high q moose/bear node is found alts are always used to check the area. Saves you time and is risk free. Doesn't even need to be automated, it's a problem even when people without bots do it manually.

This but if you're referring to mountains being private that would only be the case if they are walled off entirely, which I know some crazy people have done before. Not that it matters much if an individual can't hunt mammoths without a pali trap or does not have one setup on the particular mountain anyways, if that's what you mean. Anglers though I agree most players aren't going into the undergrounds below other villages or if they are it's probably not to hunt cave anglers. I still think that has a profound impact on the progression of industry too, though (ie. bones).

I think overall it's not as big of a deal as this thread is making it out to be. You can still PvE, PVP, farm, mine, cook, eat, etc etc etc without a bot. It's not really interfering with a person's personal experience except for in some fringe cases that I almost feel like is just a bad mechanic. Dream catchers are the dumbest shit on the planet and deserve to be botted into oblivion. The only thing it's doing (if these mega end-to-end play the game for me bots exist) is making it to where you can't be competitive against like, 1% of the population. That's not a big deal at all. Like, who legit cares? Just have fun with your friends and make pretty villages and memories. People are taking this way too seriously.

Well I did try to make an argument that I thought those inclined towards PvP might be willing to appreciate which was that even if it's not the top players gaining any advantage from bots, any other player making use of them is still going to reduce the overall likelihood that they are going to run into one that is actually a worthwhile target. I'm not even trying to make the argument that botting is equal to combat advantage, but really most of you should know by now that the devs only consider combat as one aspect of the PvP whole anyways.

dawidio123 I can say I do agree with you on the fact that the game should have some REAL QoL changes put in. But a lot of those QoL changes have been mentioned in these forums for years. Your fear is that if J&L actually listens and finds a way to destroy botting, you and a log of other players would lose interest. I would Really like J&L to fix the problems and put in QoL so that botting would become Obsolete. I think you can agree with that?

It was on private servers. I exclusively played private servers and I played a shit ton of them over the years. I am (was) the greatest lineage 2 pvper of all time. Unironically though.
I remember on a huge popular as fuck L2 server called L2 Extreme I signed up to join one of the biggest fucking PvP factions in the game (Evil Council was their name, they still have some vids of their sieges up on youtube), they had some retardedly rigorous application you had to fill out on their website. I did all that and got knocked back for some dumbass reason. So, being the spiteful fuck I was back then, I set my sights on fucking them up. Followed their entire party down into one of the catacombs they were farming in.
I was on my Orc Overlord. Went down there, solo killed their entire party. Seal of Silenced their healers, seal of binding'd them all, debuffed the ever-loving shit out of them put some dangerous targets to sleep and then drain tanked them while LoS'ing their archers and occasionally stunning them.
I was unequivocally the best Overlord of all time.

I've killed entire groups in MoS too on other characters. One of my other favourite times was playing an Orc Destroyer, walked down the steps into MoS, some big group was in there and started attacking me straight away. I ran out and they went back in and continued killing shit so I dropping myself down to 30% health, activated rage and fury, ran back in and just began 1 shotting literally everybody with like 8k damage crits.
Very funny stuff.

I've played a shitload as a Treasure Hunter, Hawkeye, Destoyer, Warlord, Paladin, Gladiator, Tyrant, Necro..... holy shit, I don't think there was a single class in the game I was bad at PvPing with. I legit have memories of fucking groups up with everything I played. Literally EVERYTHING. Killing people in Cruma Tower at level 40. Killing people in DVC at level 50-60. MoS, Varka and Ketra for end game killing. Good times, good times.

And yeah I was killing donators. All the fucking time. I solo'd some Hero Gladiator in Ketra after he killed my mate. I was playing a Treasure Hunter and yes the guy had +16 dual swords, +16 armor and a full slew of boss jewels. His gladiator ranged attack was hitting me for like 3k damage which was retardedly strong.

Also, I killed a GM who was hosting a tournament in the coliseum. He was being a cunt, can't remember why but he said something cheeky as fuck, so I went off on him, he didn't have godmode on and he died. Everyone kekked at him. Then I got banned. Or suspended, can't remember which, doesn't matter either way because me and my m8 were server hopping at the time anyway :^)
I was playing L2 for like 5-6 years. Maybe even longer, I can't remember, so yeah I was pretty fucking good at it.
