Simple reminder that we have no moral high ground to stand on here.

Sterilising and abusing children doesn't count as good human rights to everyone.

speak for yourself sicko

the Bucha photos are shocking the whole world and everybody absolutely has the right to feel morally superior to the people who performed these atrocities

you might be one of the only people I know who could give their moral standing a run for its money, simply because no authority ever told you to perform the evils you have performed

The Australian special forces are being grilled in the courts for exactly the same behaviour only on a smaller scale. Just one peek within the skeleton closet. One may ask what is so different in this case that individual soldiers are prosecuted for their transgressions instead of our national leader during that time.

Look, I'm aware that the warmongers insist there be some kind of effigy upon which they may beat out their war drum stuçcato but my ears are deaf to the sound of it.

There is no excuse for noncombatant casualties in occupied areas that aren't under attack. It simply causes needless suffering without gaining any strategic advantage. Any soldiers engaging in such war crimes should be prosecuted and the appropriate leaders condemned for negligence. This goes regardless of which nation does it (and yes, Western countries have gotten away with too much of this in the past as well).

Russia existing

Maybe I misunderstand the meaning of dignified but I laugh at the idea we can discuss such a government in that manner

PSA; if you find someone to be ignorant of their own self such as the quoted above,
you can add them as foe by going to their profile,
past and future comments will be automatically hidden,
and require you to open them if you desired to hear their drivel

Nope, still there - we're based in Lviv, it's relatively safe, only few Kalibr missiles hit the city, though there is air strike alarms every day, but as far as I understood winged missiles is easy target for military of Ukraine already.

What is day-to-day life like? Do people still wake up and go to work etc? Or are most people staying in their homes for the most part?

Yep, all life goes as before, except air raid sirens few times a day, so people just hide in home - we have 2 walls rule, there should be at least 2 walls covering you from outside, or also people can go to basement. I am still working from home so we just making a kind of sofa with hard pillows in hallway to withstand air strikes :)
There is also a lot of refugees in Lviv, still almost every food groups available in groceries and markets, medicines at pharmacies. Even food deliveries and restaurants are working as before, but McDonands is closed for all the war time, probably they're more dependent on supply chains. Sometimes there's shortages for certain medicament or products caused by increased demand from fleeing people (i.e. we've had hormonal drugs shortage for like 1 month, like l-thyroxine).
There's also dry law almost in all areas.

From what I've heard from Kyiv and Kharkiv, which is not as safe as Lviv, they are trying to return to normal life, I've also heard that there is beauty salons opening in city.

Also my parents are living in south of Ukraine, which is occupied for now - Kakhovka in Kherson area. From what I've heard there's a lot of russian soldiers walking on steets, stealing people(mostly young men, they're looking for former soldiers from donbass region), government officials and journalists, some of them are returning, some disappear without a trace. There's already puppet government organized with collaborators, russian flags over the government buildings.
