I made no stance on the morality of war. Instead my opinion from the beginning of this thread has been that war is messy and should be avoided at all cost.

Honestly I find it remarkable and relieving that the whole of occupied Ukraine is not peppered with similar scenes. Yet.

You say so, so much without saying anything at all.

You HAVE taken a moral stance and your opinions are very obviously biased because you hate the west.

You came out swinging saying you don't care about Ukraine and that you even think this entire situation is good, justified and deserved, and now you have reeled back so far you are just shitting out paragraphs filled with buzzwords and nonsense like "freedom isn't free."

Why are you so interested in being part of this discussion if you have so little to contribute. You are such a parasite in political conversations because you come in hot and heavy with aggressive outlier takes and then when you realize nobody is interested in engaging you, you start with this empty nonsense. Tossing in 2 cents for the sake of feeling like you are part of the conversation even though you are saying nothing. "Don't forget about me today guys!!"

You are spineless and embarrassing my dude.

Yep, all life goes as before, except air raid sirens few times a day, so people just hide in home - we have 2 walls rule, there should be at least 2 walls covering you from outside, or also people can go to basement. I am still working from home so we just making a kind of sofa with hard pillows in hallway to withstand air strikes :)
There is also a lot of refugees in Lviv, still almost every food groups available in groceries and markets, medicines at pharmacies. Even food deliveries and restaurants are working as before, but McDonands is closed for all the war time, probably they're more dependent on supply chains. Sometimes there's shortages for certain medicament or products caused by increased demand from fleeing people (i.e. we've had hormonal drugs shortage for like 1 month, like l-thyroxine).
There's also dry law almost in all areas.

From what I've heard from Kyiv and Kharkiv, which is not as safe as Lviv, they are trying to return to normal life, I've also heard that there is beauty salons opening in city.

Also my parents are living in south of Ukraine, which is occupied for now - Kakhovka in Kherson area. From what I've heard there's a lot of russian soldiers walking on steets, stealing people(mostly young men, they're looking for former soldiers from donbass region), government officials and journalists, some of them are returning, some disappear without a trace. There's already puppet government organized with collaborators, russian flags over the government buildings.

It's crazy how quickly people can adapt to anything. I don't need to tell you, but stay safe. I hope that your parents can ride this out without being picked on.

Dry law meaning no alcohol? It makes sense but alcohol is one of the few substances you can actually die from if you go cold turkey after years of drinking. I'd imagine some people have died/had seizures in their homes etc because of that. Makes sense to do as a whole though.

Have your armed yourself? Or has NATO/your government offered weapons/training to you or your area?

Nope, it's nearly impossible - official says we have 6 people willing to join army per riffle they have. Although government formed territorial defense to defend cities and areas, it helps to decrease load on other services, e.g. block posts and patrols.
Regarding weapon for myself, my take is that it's not a good idea to rise a gun against trained soldier, with armor, good reactions, heavy weapons and readiness to kill being just a humble guy who never held weapon. In case if they enter our areas partisanship and Molotov cocktails seems better choice for me.

Regarding NATO, I'm not missing any of Jens Stoltenberg's speeches, and with disappointment hearing all the time "we already helping Ukraine since 2014 blah blah" on any question asking whether they help. Well, the part of it is true, they really helped our army with drills etc., and Ukrainian army showed itself as incredibly strong against outnumbering "2nd army of the world", but there is a thing Ukrainian army need so hard - it's offensive weapon, capable of assault.
Many countries, members of NATO wants to help Ukraine with weapons: artillery, tanks, planes, anti-aircraft systems, whereas NATO blocks all of it(assuming they're fearing conflict escalation because of this), and limits it with only hand anti tank or anti-aerial weapons, they have very limited ranges about 300-3000 meters depends on type, which makes it totally defensive weapons, it can't help in any way on reclaiming occupied area and making counter-attacks.
From what I've heard some countries started supplies of armor and artillery after news from Bucha, gives a hope.

Aren't they mostly untrained lads with low morale? Dreaming of going back home to eat pelmenis with babushka?

Its interesting to see that you can do anything if you have few nuclear weapons in your pocket.
