You didnt really understood and you are pushing it further arent you?

Why use the money to buy a hat when you to buy a subsription first. If you dont need subscribtion then you are free to buy the hat

Are you even reading what he is writing?

He is saying even then you wouldn't be buying a hat or at least not enough people would.

I think we have come to a dead end. What I'm saying is I don't think enough people would buy cosmetics if the game was completely free for Jorb and Loftar to be able to make a living off of it. And I do understand that you think enough people would buy cosmetics if the game was completely free, it's just that I disagree.

Of course I am reading what you're writing, but my question then is, why are you arguing for the game being completely free if you realize not enoguh people would buy cosmetics to afford further development and maintenance of the game?

It was a reply to the butthurt moderator

The hats propably wouldnt be enough but in a game where you build entire cities, recipes for different buildings/thatchings/walls/shit of purely cosmetic effect would be quite a good source of money would they
But then again it would draw free players from full game experience just as limited gametime.

First of all I don't think the amount or extent of cosmetics available for purchase matters enough for it to generate enough revenue.

Secondly, and I realize this does not apply to everyone, I really don't care about cosmetics or graphics of any kind. I purely enjoy this game for its game mechanics. Therefore It would very much so disappoint me if developing time went to more cosmetics instead of gameplay.

I would rather our two man dev team have the freedom to improve the game in such a way that it will grow it's subscriber base, rather than watch them sink all their time into creating spiffy merchandise offers to drive their income.
