I'd say it's about 2 hours walk from edge to edge, without using boats. Odd claims I've seen about world edge are that it's 20 hours out of the starter zone.

This brought to mind whether anyone has established the number of SG's yet or if it even has SG's? And why is there no public map yet? Are people really that paranoid?

Multiple people are talking about the world edge being rounded. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that loftar improved world gen to be seamless rather than needing supergrids. Those were only defined by the fact that the river systems didn't interlock.

The world size is fine I think. Having walked to much as it is there is plenty of space yet not to much.

i love the size, its nice not getting immediately stomped by the large villages and actually being able to play before all the land is claimed by said villages, and its easier to escape the trolly idiots when you walk away from spawn 8+ hours

Within an hours walk of my hermitage in all directions is one Palisaded village (I'm friended to two of the guys there), one village built on teraformed steps and one tiny hermitage smaller than mine. other than that noone.

As do I. I haven't built a palisade yet, and my shit is being left alone. I love it.

Just moved way off grid. Only camping here until I have a wagon to roll on further out, btw.
