Ditto for eidels, nothing like what they used to be. RIP

Since world start (this includes bugged time) I've found 3 boletes, 2 chiming bluebells, and 5-6 glimmers. Glimmers are far too common to be fated. They're still rare as hell, but there's no way glimmers are covered under that system. And from the stories I hear I'm really on the lucky end of things.

What's your exp*per

tbh fam I hate exp*per as a word for a mechanic

jorb: It's called creative license. You know, that thing you seem to want to apply to logic, grammar and coherence? :)

I've basically stopped in the 40*40 to 40*50 region. I don't forage much anymore and the gains have slowed pretty heavily. The only curio I really care about finding these days but have difficulty with is glimmers.

In the past you would require a set number per*exp to see certain curiosities all the time but once you got to that point there was no "fixed chance" you either saw it if it was there or the area you're in got picked clean already.

I'm talking about the "being there". That is random. Each tile (or each spawn node) has a certain chance to spawn a specific forageable when the cell is loaded. Before, you could always see it, provided you had enough perc*exp. Now you can't. Even if it's there, the fate system can prevent you from seeing it, and we already know it's partly based on your actions in game.

That's why I'm saying it's less random than before.

So to further clarify, it is the boiler's fate that decides if a pearl comes from a mussel, not the mussel collector?
