Do you feel something for them? Yes or no?

And for linkfanpc lol for the prayers, god come in videogames now ? When we are talking about a religious "state" attacking a state who's main credo is that religion have to tone down, it sound a little strange.

To be honest, I'd have to imagine it happening to myself or someone close to me, or imagine it more vividly than what comes naturally, my spontaneous emotional response is to not care that much, and I imagine that is the case for most people.

Can you imagine being one of the people on the concert waiting for their "turn"?

Yeah, when I imagined that not soon after it happened I did actually feel horror, but it's not like it's a lingering feeling, and it does take some effort to imagine something like that. I just feel like the whole #PrayForParis thing is something people do to make themselves feel better about themselves, and more connected to their larger tribe, it's not really helpful in any real sense, and I think it can be very alienating, it certainly alienates me since I can't cry over people who I have never had any interactions with. It just seems "fake", and I am a bit allergic to fake.

I agree that the prayforparis thing might seem a bit misplaced.
For many Europeans this hits a bit too close to home and affect many.
We can imagine ourselves being in that concert hall. It is harder for us to imagine being in Kongo.
It is comforting to see that you did get an emotional reaction to the events.

To me you are saying you have not seen enough real horror or real evil in this world to make a true connection to something beyond your own experiences in life as they have been.

You also seem to think that anyone that has had these experiences are “fake” since if you have not had them then others could not have them as well.

Must be nice to live in your world.
