They can be used to spread hate messages and calls to violence towards specific groups of people based on race and religion. For example they can wary from simple "kill a nigger tonight" to something like urges to group up, torch refugee centers and club escaping immigrants to death including their brown babies.
I am wondering are developers already prepared for this? Do they have a plan how to deal with situation when their game is being used as hate platform in this way?

Nazi germany had tons of good things. There was good healthcare and strict rules for work safety etc. Also they had quite good laws for animal rights. They also had very low unemployement rates. They didnt accept tests with animals. And citizens were very well treated. They were againist smoking and they did fine cars.

"Gassing jews" is far from the worst things of what nazi did. And people often talk about jews in regard of nazi crimes mostly because of Goebbels and nazi propaganda, that was very vivid against them. Nazis were not only after Jews, but after everyone not German or not "Aryan" as they believed. When they went war against Poland and USSR they were considering them people of second grade.

There were death penalties for a sexual relations between Polish and German. Whole villages in former soviet union were burned down with all who lived there. They killed during the war there way more non-"aryan" civilians than simple Jews. And I mean murdered on purpose, and not just like collateral damage during the military campaign. Or take for example siege of Leningrad. They were for purpose holding peoples there to starve them to death and wipe the city out from the face of earth. They were shooting those, who tried to get away from the sieged city.

Idealism and promises go a long way... and so does conscription. If I was Polish at the time and I hated the Russians more than I hated the Germans, I might just be persuaded to fight on the side of the Germans.

Besides that there were even russian, ukrainians, latvians and others who joined nazi. Thing is, nazi had rather powerful propaganda and were brainwashing peoples into joining their case without actually telling them they would be "second grade" people in their society they tried to build. So, those who think that nazi were only against jews simply got under influence of their propaganda as well because of their ignorance. They could have ended as a nice nazi slaves back in WWII days.

Speaking about nazi propaganda, even Stalin fell for it, going for a treaty with Hitler, while Hitler himself in his book (1925) was writing something in the mood of "We are your masters, you are slaves, and Soviet Union must be destroyed".
