You're both pretty dumb, what's the big deal about taking some time to build a better oven? You all get better food which is more important than you seem to realize considering the % appetite factor (eating less food for more gains is always good, always use a table, etc.)

And then the argument about the cat gold is pretty funny and in that case you were correct, it is a completely trash curio and you really only need one at a time since it takes so long you don't need to store them up as if you're never going to mine again.

I think you both could have learned things from each other and improved if your egos weren't in the way.

The thing was he complained about the oven after it was already built. Sean just got off duty, (he is in the airforce) built a quick oven because we have no con food, and then saw Bearcub acting condescending to him the next day when he woke up. All in all he had just caused a lot of tension in our tight-nit group. I do agree (said in last post) that I should have responded better.

Cyd: You responded perfectly. If you hadn't have killed Bearcub, he would have "left us peacefully" only for us to discover that he had taken a bunch of shit that we've since discovered he had stolen. You backstabbed a backstabber - and I applaud you for how well you sniffed out the rat among us and had the balls to do something about it.

The only thing that upset me over the situation was losing Lach over it. Lach - you're a cool dude - we'll miss ya.

Yeah, I feel pretty shit about how both sides of it went down, and will miss you guys as well. I enjoyed the pace of progression, think it fits in well with my current available play time and all that :\ I hope you all will still play and despite the conflict I really had hoped we could just put the drama behind us and go our separate ways .. this thread isn't quite good for that hope though. Don't lose morale, you've got a good core going, if nothing else. So things should hopefully stay peaceful from now on, and on our end as well.

Cats gold is good if you can get decent quality... why is everyone saying its trash? you need to take into account the amount of time your asleep and not playing too... some people cannot refresh the fast curios on all the time... and for a tiny place like yours with shit q stuff the cat gold is a good curio.

if you put on a q 30 bark boat and go to bed... wake up and put another one on and go to work... that's ~1400lp

if you have a 2x multiplier cat gold (q40). you can get 1600 from cats gold over 20 hours...... put it on at 10pm and it will be done by 6pm when your off work the next day. put on a bark boat at 10pm and its done by 1am but your not home from work until 5pm the next day so its wasted LP...

if you don't play in the morning then putting the cat gold on is a WAY better idea then putting on the bark boat before bed...

Anyway... I read your convos... I see a player wanting to progress in the game getting frustrated at your groups slow progression and that's about it. killing him was way overkill (I am surprised you had rage tbh). it will probably bite you... you are not peaceful larper hermits.

In hindsight I should have just took away permissions, put him on probation, and sent him on his way when I could. The big concern is that he would do exactly this (post giving away our location and demonizing us). Lach told us (after the fact) that he said he would not do this, I guess Bearcub lied about that. Either way I am still on good terms with Lach. I admit I was too rash, but I can't change the past. I did it in the heat of the argument when I should have waited.

gonna side with bearcub on this one

Sure - side with the thief if you want. Hope your village is his next village. Enjoy him - you can have him. We don't need a thieving drama-starter in our village. And if you don't think he's a drama-starter - remember, he's the one that came and aired this stuff on the forums. :D

Yes he is a drama starter, however he is a provoked drama starter. It's not at all reasonable for him to ask you to not use the bricks or at least use higher quality bricks for the oven making. Yes i understand you guys aren't quality grinders but what is wrong with him being one. I mean i think its a little unreasonable that you guys would go ahead and waste good q materials that he wanted to use for higher q things just because you don't care about quality. Yes i do understand high q cat gold is nothing to cry over but its not the object its the principle. I mean if your willing to use something i high q for simple decoration i would get pissed even if it was something shit cause how am i supposed to know you won't do the same with something actually useful. Also you say its just cat gold but cat gold is still useful(not as a curio tho). It can be used to make better q axes and alot of other things that can be made with stone.

I am siding with bearcub 100%
