Push comes to shove gun sellers arent doing anything illegal. Focus your attention to laws and regulations, make them more common sense. Too easy to get guns. Its absurd to hold gun makers accountable. Theyve been doing the same thing for decades even centuries. Its a mental health problem, American life is toxic, we work to much and seeing specialist is too damn expensive.

Do you sue Honda because you got in a wreck in your Prius? No, unless you can proved the car was defective from the manufacturer. Unless the gun blows up in your hands, you don't have grounds to sue a firearms manufacturer. (What's next? Suing Faberware or Fiskars because you got stabbed with a kitchen knife?)

You can't sue someone because their product works as advertised. We got to sue the tobacco companies because of the way advertising was done and processing to the tobacco to make it more addictive.

I'm all for sensible liberal idealism, but liberal stupidity can leave along with the conservative stupidity.

But it's not mainstream Democratic thinking. It's a handful of idealists trying to stir the shit pot. It came up in the debates last week. This kind of talk is just as bad as Trump talking up the batteries at his rallies, and is just as irresponsible. We need fewer fanatics in this country. We already have too many as it is.

Hmm I wonder who else is selling death legally ...

Let's start with the easy ones
Cigarettes
Alcohol
Fast Food
Energy Drinks

Damn, it looks like lawyers are going to be pretty happy with all the new cases that this would open up

In a few of these cases, the manufacturers have been successfully sued for A) false advertising, B) faulty manufacturing, or C) gross negligence. (I'm pointing directly at tobacco product manufacturers and energy drink producers.)

Someone makes a gun for deer hunting.

Someone uses that gun to murder someone else.

It's not the guy who made the gun's fault that some other crazy dude used his gun to kill someone.
Total misplay.

Every person who wants to buy a gun should be subjected to a mental health check.
Also, why are assault gun like weapons for sale? You dont need half automatic rifles or fully automatic rifles for hunting.
You do not need hand guns or pistols for hunting for that matter.

You need rifles and shotguns for hunting.

Some of you never heard the term "dual use" ?!? Please tell me where guns have a dual use like knives etc ... guns are meant to shoot ... wound and kill ... while my fingers (which could wound and kill too) aren't meant mainly to use them that way like newspapers aren't ...

On the other hand (@OP) do you really think about justice when it come to an instrument of power ?!?

At last there'd be only 2 measureoptions to counter those - having the bigger explosives ... or just refuse to play that game.

You need rifles and shotguns for hunting.

You do not see self-defense or recreation for valid uses with the weapons?

You can defend yourself with a shotgun. (At least your house and close surroundings).
For more long range encounters, use the rifle. (If you insist on being in a militia defending your country from the government).

You can use the shotgun and the rifle for leisure activity such as shooting skeet or on targets.
You do not need a semi-automatic or full-automatic for neither defence or fun.

Defense was more meaning for the hand guns.

And of course you will not need something for fun. Fun does not be a need. But it can still be fun and we can still have a justify to having it, no?
