The rest of what you said is pretty dumb for obvious reasons (who the fuck wants to build a new town every two months triple kek). Pretty sure I'm done here.
Compared to the quality grind? I'd be happy building a new town every month. Besides, when have we ever had 2 month world resets? It's almost been half a year of this world now.Pan_w_okularach wrote:Keep hearing this term "end game" what the fuck does it mean exactly? This is a sandbox game, you're basically given a pack of crayons and a blank canvas and you you're free to do whatever you want with it. But some people choose to just draw some marks with every crayon then complain that they've seen every color there is and now are bored - this is how dumb you are. The game really should only begin once you explored all the mechanics, this is not "end game" this is the stage when you can start being creative.
Of course if there are no artificial restrictions which sadly there are. Like the stat caps, this is a real problem. The early death of this world has been caused by the stat caps, just like people predicted the day it was announced, that it's gonna ruin the competition and kill the motivation for people to trade and cooperate. Even the devs themselves didn't want stat caps but these inner party people made them implement it anyways. It's really sad when you realize that the game was hijacked by a bunch of passive agressive wimps like Kaios, and the devs don't have a say in their own game at this point.
Look at world 7, three years into the world it was still alive, there was still competition between factions, people were still trading, building new villages, starting new projects and so on, even though there was no updates at all. Compare it to this world, there has been no patches for just one month and look how the population dropped.
So you don't know what the fuck end game is and yet you're implying I'm dumb? My sides have just up and left tbqhwy.
Every sandbox has an end game, from Terraria to this. End game in this is when you're left with fuck all to do but grind quality and go out PvPing. Feel free to explain to me what I've yet to do in the game though, because quite frankly I can't think of anything.
The combat update, when it is finally complete, will not do shit to increase the population, despite it being a thing people have been wanting. I guarantee the numbers will not rise at all when that update comes out. The thing that gets peoples heads turning is a new world, so rolling out the new combat system along with a new world has more of a chance of getting people to stick around than just throwing out the combat update as a stand alone thing.
This game suffers from a fatal flaw. There's not much incentive to leave your base and venture into dangerous areas. I think this game would benefit from having some sort of beast that spawns in set locations (maybe give it a 2 week respawn timer) that takes a good amount of manpower to down but also drops highly sought after things.
Now because this shit would spawn in set places, it would encourage people to fight over it.
Right now people are just going around picking of stragglers they find out and about who aren't expecting to get fucked over by a massive group.
I'm mostly interested in PvP personally but there needs to be more to do at the end of the game than just fucking grinding up quality and then going out to fight other players.
I don't claim to have the answers on how to make end game better, all I know is that the world, right now, is fucking shit.
its fucking shit because you use bots or you just dont have exciting ideas.
