It does, but its not like it would be the first kind of game that has more than one server

You think there's enough people to do this? Doesn't matter how many other games do this. They do it because there's a large enough player population that one server group won't handle them all.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Apparently you did forgot about one important thing...
Every "new" World there's hundreds of people that are coming back to see if they can achieve something this World and that means potential subs bought if we're talking about the money perspective

I thought they implemented a mechanic that allows players to reset the world by building some sort of dooms day device.

What ever happened to that?

It was only created so players could do the honors of killing the world and having an end battle.
They still decide when that option is available.

They also apparently "don't plan" on resetting the world any time soon, which is also insane and quite irritating to the majority of the playerbase, most of which will never play again otherwise

I tend to agree with this. I asked a few of my core crew if they'd be interested in starting something up again, and the general consensus was that there was no interest until a new world.

Nah man, the devs thought once the game should have a permanent world and they gotta stick to it until the end.

no need for stat cap, just go trough 300 stat like now, then make it harder to get more points, instead of a geometric scale, a logaritmic one will be perfect.

Arguments for a new world: gaem ded, would bring temporary spike of new blood and potential to reach out for new players. Current world is boring and ded!

Arguments against a new world: Muh investments and wasted life would be even more wasted! gaem will die again anyways! gaem is bad!

I'm sure J&L have reasons for putting off the inevitable reset, and my guess is that they probably are working on something involving world generation (Though I have no reason to suspect that other than a shot in the dark).

However to the players that are against a world reset, Could you give a reason other than feeling like you wasted all of your time building up to get reset and have to start from square one again?

What beneficial reasons would there be to keep this world going, and what downsides other than a bunch of bitching and groaning (which will happen if you reset or not, mind you) Would there be if the world was to be reset?

I tend to agree with this as well, so long as you mean exponentially higher costs for stat return.
