fishing too works wonder in UrW. The devs have a passion for survival (as i have), and much of what they do reflects perfectly the real life. Lovely work.

I didn't know that if I'd start starting season as a spring it would be early spring.
So there was ice and snow and stuff.

Yeah much better to hunt...tracks on the snow are easier to follow and you can dry meat also during the spring, not during the summer....
Tips: if you don't trust the ice try to crawl...but it's very risky...crawl works to hide yourself better when hunting, also
Make friends with the other crabs or try to escape the bucket.

I have tried hunting but finding animals is difficult. And those that I find run away way too fast instantly when they see me.

slow the speed, hide and try to walk near trees/bushes, also make javelins or axes, you can throw pretty much anyhing small enough, that's especially good when killing birds.

I know, hunting is the best feature of this game...you have to engage an endurance chaise to the prey tracking him, use f3 to check his status, try to fatigue him and not you, try to push the prey near water....use running and hide in an appropriate way...try to don't fatigue your char or your speed will suck....best weapon you can use at the start are javelins...good luck :D

P.S. for small prey use rocks, for bigger pray use javelins at the beginning...you want to raise your spear skill in the creation, and tracking also.

Sneaking next to them and throwing (several) javelins apparently worked out after too many attempts. :D

Good job :D , try to not spoil the meat now...if you cannot dry it, roast and sell it to some village...and you want also to tun the hide for sure (it takes 3 process before is ready)

Pretty cool game, though I usually just end up creating giant raiding parties with hordes of dogs and raid villages until my party gets too huge to manage.
