It is no one's responsibility to decipher what you post, it is your responsibility to be clear or go unheard.

Well, if your cognitive skills are below par, how simple do you expect me to express myself? Half this forum can barely read. (They can write though).

I would like to see your sources.

An idea to consider: Tedium, a Feature.

Given what I see here on a regular basis the problem is not that people can't read... they (given what they write) just simply don't at times, for whatever reason.
The result is the same, but the don't want cases are more annoying (as it could be percieved as intentionally being rude).

There's a degree of irony in the fact someone is making light of another's reading & comprehension skills in a meta-trolling thread.

I do however agree that a great deal of miscommunication and other problems arise from simply not reading what's been posted.

Only a true troll would recognize the meta of the meta of a meta thread.

Something like that?

Given the need to filter posts to read, however, there is perhaps something to be said for not making it look like mere shitposting if you intend to have someone's attention.

I have to agree for the most part. We have it pretty easy here on the amount of content that needs to be looked at.

I do find I enjoy some of the more creative posts some posters come up with that at first glance are little more than spam. To more or less rephrase what loftar said here, it is easy to overlook such posts and dismiss them as being negative, thoughtless, or just another rant, though, when there's work to be done.

A man only has so many minutes in a day. My minutes are my own, whether being paid for them or donating the free time I have. If there's so much information to process, I have a limit as to the amount that can be, as we all do. As much as I enjoy the more creative posts, I don't have so much time I can invest into figuring out the cute and clever puzzle each person may try to make out of their post. Thus, if it looks like crap and smells like crap... it's likely to get treated like crap.

Let's not forget we do have a wide variety of education levels here, too. A lot of active forum members are young and have the depth of their education yet to come, some are older and never had a need for them college educations. I'm sure there are a few other categories, too, that aren't going to understand the intellectual parrying such as above in this thread. (and then there are those that just like to play dumb.)
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.
