And is there a decent leveling tool?

Also, building-mode servers? Or is it all vanilla

They are still getting the "grind" modifiers in order for the MMO, but I can say that right now terraforming a single tile of land is probably x2-x3 as long as it is in Haven with full sets of tools, assuming you are working with standard fertile or forest soil. Clay is quicker, roughly twice as quick as soil. Snow, swampy terrain, etc, are extremely hard to terraform. It's hard to compare the scale of a tile in LiF to HnH, though. In LiF, a tile is 2 square meters.

Leveling Tool?
You mean like a skill calculator?

I'm not sure, I haven't played the base game recently except on a New Brodgar server we modded to function as an auto-equip/skill deathmatch arena.
We are just in prep mode for the MMO, and have little interest in the server based variant.

Theres MMO version of Lif and Lif Your Own. Your Own is for small servers made by players with their rules on their pc's. MMO will be hosted by developers.

Yeah, for sure...also many other people have integrity, but you know, you cannot eat with integrity.

Struggling with the camera locking and unlocking onto place

Are you guys sure you aren't talking about H&H? These are all issues that apply to this game too, even the camera locking is an issue in the default client.

:D Someone could say that also :D . If nothing else I think (thx Ysh) LiF is not better.

Sounds like they made a profit so far with only the stand alone version so I can see them making a lot of money with the MMO, steam reviews for LiF: YO are mixed but at least 68% are positive and the reviews in the past few months have been largely positive it appears. My only complaint would be the price, it's terribly expensive and I'd compare their selling tactics to that of other AAA money grabbers like ArcheAge but the game looks to be worth a try.

You can find reasonable reviews of the game on steam through sorting by the most helpful for positive and negative and see both perspectives.

LiF:MMO is buy once to play forever, with a premium store much like HnH's, with a premium account that will apparently give (on actual release) a bonus to skill gain rate, and it will sell premium skins.
It will have a free trial island, a copy of the LiF:YO world, where you can test out the game and experiment with it before you decide to buy the game, upon actual release.

I have the YO version of the game (played about 10-20 hours), bought to support them waiting the MMO version..... for sure they made a lot of profit.
From what i understood now they are launching wave 1 (idk how much will last) and supporter of the first version will be allowed to join the game only on wave 2.
In short they are charging hyped childs that cannot wait double, even if only thanks to first version supporters they were able to develop the MMO version, promised from the beginning.
I understand it's a big project and require money (and as i already said they made already a big profit with a very buggy, unstable and pretty bad first version).
Btw this, tbh, i don't like too much.(charging double thing)
I don't even know if they finally have fixed this very old bug: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vDmiQShEBG0
Btw the game is not terrible, there are for sure worse games, but as i already said don't buy it immediately...i'm pretty sure at least at the beginning will be a completly crap...tbh i cannot see these people dealing with all the MMO issues related (exploit, bugs,etc..) when even the dedicated server version was pretty bad on this side.
However H&H is far superior in pretty much everything except graphic (in my opinion).
For sure i will not buy it again, i will watch some videos on the internet and i will try it when wave 2 will start...but as already said in previous post i have not much hope about it. We'll see.
Maybe i'm wrong and will be an awesome game, but if the gameplay is like the YO version (and i'm pretty sure will be) it's not fun, has not much depth and become boring very fast.
