Also I would like to add that hunting is something you should really focus on next... Update, or update after that. Soon.

What would you like to see done with hunting?

Can you make it so moves don't suffer the same fate as lp when fighting animals? I noticed I can only learn like 3-4 moves a day after the initial massive amount you can learn when you first start killing animals. It serves no purpose other than frustration. I don't care about getting barely any lp for overhunting animals, but having to wait a day after killing 4 animals to learn more moves is aggravating.

Other than that, having animals run at mach speeds away from you, while realistic, is unfun and is the main component to people boxing animals in with alts and shit.

You may have a point, but I also don't think animals should simply be meatbags that completely willy-nilly present themselves for the plucking. That strikes me as very unfun.

That way it's your own fault when you die, and not just a random die roll of the game, and hence nature can be made dangerous without simply appearing volatile. And it adds space for fun resources and mechanics.

As regards hunting I agree that more should be done to prevent boxing of animals.

Nidbanes are tricky indeed.

Glad you like fishing! Haven't gotten to trying lure fishing yet myself.

Very glad that you like the combat system. I am all ears as regards changes to specific weapons and attacks.

But it doesn't eventually lead to your death. Players choose waiting the wounds out when they get hurt enough instead of high risk of death. Waiting is not a fun mechanic at ALL. Similar effect to personal beliefs

Honestly, I'm not even as mad about that second point. It's annoying but it can be dealt with in a number of ways. The thing with moves being limited though is the main source of frustration I've been having currently.
You can follow my character around invisible if you want while I kill over 40 animals and get maybe 1-2 moves. Deer and below have stopped giving me moves period now it seems.

Can you not make it so that you only have to learn a move once, which in turn allows you to set the number of points you want to put in it? Like once you learn Sting for example, you can immediately set it to 5/5? The current way of learning moves is really flawed compared to how it used to be. I've spent the majority of my days killing hundreds of animals just to try get a few more points in artful evasion....

If you dont want to make animals meatbags then WHY would you make getting proper combat decks so very dependent on farming and plucking meat bags? As combat stands right now, you need some moves to be relevant at all. You get these by plucking meatbags. Remove getting moves from killing animals its bad, there was nothing wrong with legacy "buy moves by buying skills with LP".

hunting should be done with bow and arrow, and using stealth to approach the animal.
your stealth will help in aiming speed(simulating the animal not detecting you), and actual moving of the animal will be countered by your marksman skill.
and you should be able to see animals depending on your perception skill, and they will not run from you depending on your stealth skill.
chickens being easiest to see
but mammoths obviously also easy to see. but youll need more than 1 arrow for those :P
deer and below should be killable with 1 or 2 arrows.
assuming you can find, approch and hit them.

Ranged hunting is currently too nerfed.
Ranged hunting should become the main method for hunting.
Overall, bow and arrow and spear should be used more for hunting. Fists, swords and stuff could be for mainly PvP.
Perhaps finding the animal and sneaking near it should be the hardest part instead of killing it?

Or at the very least, proper bleeding mechanics would be nice. Killing wild horses for example is too difficult, except if you one hit them.

Instead of animals running towards you trying to kill you after you shoot them, they should run away. Maybe leave bloodtrail or be wounded. Then they would stop, you could sneak upon them again and shoot them. Perhaps with a fatal blow this time. Each time they would get slower as they get more wounded each time you shoot them.

Historically even, main tools for hunting were different types of bows and arrows, sometimes spears. Fists or swords are just out of question.
Traps also had MAJOR role in hunting process. At least in Finland. To my understanding, bow and arrows were used for stuff such as deers and boars and maybe some little bit smaller animals. Bears, mooses and other big stuff was killed with spears. Traps were used for stuff like wolves, foxes, beavers and birds. I guess that squirrels and birds were also killed with bow and arrows, but blunt arrows. In attempt not to damage the skin too much.

Baits should also be a thing for hunting stuff like deers, foxes.
