I'm not one to berate anyone for having an older system. I've spent most of my adult life in this situation, but if a game is upgraded, but still uses a ten year old technology...

I'm more than willing to help people out with suggestions and where to try to find parts to upgrade. Almost no matter where you live, there are swap meets for parts, or at least used parts dealers that might make a better deal than one you'd find online.

This is a part of the optimization pipeline. Sorry you're not computer savvy enough to know what "optimization" means. And Haven is not resource intensive. It bottlenecks around processing time for the most part, not in memory or load times.

Pretty sure he just meant you can't really compare performance with 2D vs 3D.

But you can? Just because you're using sprites and an isometric map doesn't mean you're not using 3D graphics calls. It just means you're using sprites and an isometric map.

They should wipe the legacy servers and be done with it.

An idea to consider: Tedium, a Feature.

I'd like to have it stated that it's more about the new version having had so many improvements that it just isn't too much fun to go back. :)

Improvements are cool though they could've been done with old 2D graphics. Anyway all I'm asking for is higher FPS rate with more than 1 client and less freezes while terraforming with more than 1 client.
