I won't disagree with either of you, but playing as a hermit does turn a hard game into "even harder mode." I really do suggest joining a village, but don't join just any village because the game is being too difficult as a solo player. A village is really the best way to learn as a new player, too, if a person isn't used to these "survival MMO" type games.

That's really true, makes the player have a safe haven in wich to learn w/o having to bother for most things... except beign a new player you don't even prolly know about those communities XD

And that's the crux of being a new player in a game such as Haven. Don't know no one (unless friends dragged you in), don't have any rep to get recruited easily.
