I've always found that 1 or so hours per day in the weekdays with more playtime on the weekends was good enough for me (farmer). I used to play a little more when I was in school, but less now.

Currently 27, career, wife, home, dog. It's always enough to maintain a small farm.

The world is already automated. The products we use are manufactured by machines, transported by machines, we even use machines to buy them nowadays. This entire discussion takes place via machines, meaning nobody was occupied with organizing a get-together for this international group of people, nobody is leading this discussion, no space had to be rented to make this possible and the cart drivers that would bring us to the forum have all been fired (not to mention the bazillion other forms of employment that would have been affected or involved, from catering to travel assistance and local tourism). Yet despite all jobs getting automated, society keeps finding ways to keep us all busy, creating as many new jobs as are lost to automation. Our new jobs may not be as essential as the jobs we automated away, but employment will continue to exist no matter how much we automate.

Well today I spent about 4 hours watching random youtube vids, mainly game of thrones and sopranos clips. Then I spent about 3 or so hours talking shit in discord and refreshing some forums to see if anyone posted anything interesting. Browsed reddit for a bit then went back to watching youtube clips. By this point my brain was barely operational so I just stared at my screensaver for about an hour and now I'm posting here. I'm supposed to make a website so I'm getting some angry messages on Skype but its their fault for hiring a useless sack of shit.

After reviewing the evidence I suspect that it was intent of poster for the reader to laugh upon reading this line. I think you have not offended him here. In fact, I think you have fallen right into his hands.

Yes, but to this point it has taken people to run the machines. So far we've adapted to the increasing number of machines, but for how much longer will that trend hold? What's left when even the machines run human services? Universal welfare? Better hope the Donald Trumps of this world are generous people.
