Also, my village and myself atm are fine. No need to suggest for me to move to somewhere or join someone, for the seventh time.

What's wrong with a free for all, though? Isn't that the whole point of the game? There's ways to counteract someone bullying you.

Phew, I hope someone doesn't Greif my plot D: this made me realize being around rivers and large bodies of water make you easy targets. Move to the corner of the world and make material for a palisade a number 1 priority. The north land seems to be tame right now but I hear the south has the most of the griefers. Leather is the only bitch in making a pali cause you gotta wait upwards of a day for hide, another day for tanning. Im in dawn of final 48 hours mode right now.

The game is designed for this sort of anarchy aspect of the game, so yes it is intended to be this way. However with the current crime system, the beginning of the world is effectively broken. Why can't players who aren't spending their whole first few days on the game have to suffer from the ones who do? Why can't I attack people on my claim and just have to sit there and watch them take everything? Crime in it of itself is a luxury for only the people who invest time to obtain it, but this game struggles to differentiate between crimes and self defense.

Once upon a time we would have been in agreement. But right now, I think only Rage is way too easy to get.

Theft without Vandalism has some huge limitation, and that's what makes it ok for it to be "not that hard" to get fast.

Consider this: for a new character it takes about 1 hour (or less) to set up a claim. 5k (yeomanry + a bunch of things) LP is not that hard to get by discovering stuff and studying a bunch of cone-cows.
Once the claim is up, you'll have to protect it for 8 hours. You can either stay online and try to block anyone from approaching, or cheese it with leantos and alts to prevent anyone from touching it while you're offline.

During those 8 hours, you're powerless. Once the claim is up, people will need Trespassing and Theft to get your things. To defend yourself from it is quite easy.
Build a fence or stone wall around your claim. Don't build gates, just close it all the way.
Sure it can be annoying to have to break a spot and rebuild it every time u have to go out (u can tp back in), but well worth it since it requires only branches or stones.
Once you get "Locks and Bolts", you can safely build a gate and place a lock on it. Tadà! You're safe from anyone without Vandalism. At this point you can safely make some leather and build a palisade, which makes you safer and prevents someone to just break in with vandalism.
Given how much LP are required to get Vandalism, and the fact that now it depends on Rage (which allows you to be killed and Nidbane to be summoned after you), plenty of early game thieves won't bother taking it.

As you can see, it's pretty easy (once the claim is active) to defend against Theft alone. Which is why it makes sense to be able to afford Theft early.
If Theft was much harder to get, nobody would get anything out of it alone, because it's already pretty easy to defend against it.

Also I disagree with the whole "move somewhere else" idea. You only need to move if they bash your claim or break/dump all of your stuff. That's a clear message: GET OUT OF MY AREA.
If they just steal your "valuables" (which can be anything early on: food, hides, curios...), they are just trying to get free stuff, they might not be a problem in the future.

But you can, no rage needed if he's on your claim.
