The fact that "you people" (I am assuming you are with Snail, sorry if I'm wrong), seem to not understand that and insist the game should be built around your own vision of competitive play isn't constructive, it's just sad.
You’re assuming a lot, but assuming that I’m a) declaring this to be a “good thing” and b) part of some pvp minmax gang is most funny to me
there are certainly players who do all sorts of things in HnH and don’t feel the need to compete. And (in part because the player pop is low, in part because of problems with the siege system) they mostly won’t get bothered for it so long as they bare minimum claim and vgate pali their bases. Incentive is not the same thing as force and the developers pride themselves on creating a sandbox with an embarassment of options.
However the mix of a linear progression system (where one player character can be categorically and exponentially “better” than another), zero-sum land and other resources, and lack of endgame draws all players to be competitive or at least risk dying at the hands of those players who minmax harder. If you disagree that the game as it stands incentivizes competition i would direct you to the myriad examples found within your own actions; maybe consider this seriously instead of focusing all your mental energies on defensive, reactive arguments against some imagined tribal enemy. My interest in competing in forum pvp with you dwindles especially when I perceive you acting in this mode of blinding bad faith, which is often.
