It's weird how one of those two things you said isn't in my post at all.

then say what you mean? why are you forcing me to play a guessing game with your posts

kinda funny how you managed to be wrong in three different ways in one sentence while confidently giving advice

"you're wrong, but I cannot elaborate or explain in any way the reasoning as to why you are wrong"

thanks for the input guys, really it only strengthens my point regarding the obscurity of mechanics if I'm wrong about my assessment of movement

if you want people to understand the mechanics better step 1 is probably to not spread misinformation

dude, are you stupid? I'm asking you to please explain in that case so I will no longer misinform anyone, but apparently you are unable to do that

Such insightful arguments. It's easy enough to test out anyways, run a character at 3 speed with shift + click in one direction against another player/character that is clicking to move every so often and see which one ends up ahead.

If everything is so easy to test why are you so willing to give wrong information without testing

I can throw that statement right back at you, why are you so unwilling to explain your point of view or understanding of the mechanics? Could it be that you want to maintain some kind of advantage you have from unapparent and obscure mechanics?

Perhaps I'm explaining what I mean poorly, but basically each click has the effect of slightly slowing down movement whereas shift + click and moving without clicking for as long as possible to avoid that lag in movement is the ideal method. If you know that is no longer the case, I don't see what's so difficult about saying that.
