did they ramp up the boat damage on the ocean? I tried crossing a continent and my rowboat almost broke on 3-4 damage ticks.

Almost certainly a bug, experienced this day 1 as well.

No doubt via the global speed up they did by proxy speeding up boat decay and a ton of other things XD
