Jalpha he stopped a few Muslim-Majority countries from not being able to send their poor people over to the US for a short time before he can set up better background checks, and passed an executive order to continue an oil pipeline that has been stopped by various protests from hippies and tan dudes saying they're Indian alike.

I agree. Poll numbers don't, though. He currently has lowest approval rating of any incoming president since polling started, and it keeps sinking. At this rate, he could end up in single digits (last numbers I saw in the last week or so was around 20%).

I think the election has proved that poll numbers don't represent even the slightest hint of reality.

Last two elections have shown this. If anyone doesn't knows who Nate Silver is, he is a polling guru in American politics. He was dead accurate up until the last two presidential elections. Why? Change in habits of the typical American voter. More and more people don't have home phones, which are the only ones that companies are allowed to cold call. Those that do have home phones don't answer calls from people they don't know. This leaves a few elderly to answer pollster calls.

Otherwise, yeah, polls have traditionally been very accurate if done in a scientific manner. No, you can't trust all polls.

@whoever contradicted my 20% number: I don't recall what station I was watching. I didn't dig further into the news report because I was busy doing other more important things... I think farming my carrots. I doubted the validity of the actual numbers myself, but it's just representative of the nose dive his popularity has taken since the election. Even Dubya didn't dive so hard at his least popular.
