Maybe I'm being too devious and vague with my comments.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Mirkwood is, at QL 10, the second best curio in the game and can be (slightly) scaled with quality using high quality tree seeds lategame and high quality entrails early game

Edit: Ruined it with my spoonfeeding, sorry magicman.

Tree seeds too inefficient, take too long to grow. There's a berry bush that gives 5 or 6 usable berries for mirkwood offerings.

They're going to be quite high quality at lategame, if there's still mirkwood logs left by then lol.

Elderberry bushes can give up to 14 berries.

I dearly hope mirkwood logs can be generated somehow/regenerated by the world. Trees dying etc.

Oh? Do logs decay faster in swamps?

I'm not sure if they decay into mirkwood, I was simply stating that I live around several swamps and they seem to be fairly common in swamps

I've heard you can walk 20 hours before reaching the edge. I have no idea how long it actually take to walk a local map (the one that's slightly smaller than a minimap) but I assumed 30 seconds. Roughly, that would be a radius of 2400 tiles, and with a round world that's 18,000,000 tiles total. If each has just 1 mirkwood log and each of 500 players online was using 1 log a day, it would take 36,000 days to use them all up.

I think we can safely assume that there's many more mirkwood than that and they're being used up at a much slower pace. See you in 40 years.
Come back two hours earlier.
