Life only has one goal: to reproduce other life. Anything other than that is a waste of time, right?

Or would you rather us get truly philosophical about it and state how the purpose of life is to generate intelligence, and intelligence is to make life better for the individual, and thus need less work and more leisure time and activities? Therefore, our activities here are the realization of billions of years of universal evolution and still isn't the end goal?
