Do not you guys have the same view about how villages should work and etc.? I mean people from the same village will share same values, otherwise they would hate living in the village. Consequently, most things you would tell to jorb will go through the prism of what you guys generally believe the game should look like. You might disagree what ingredients should be used for a pizza, but you guys believe there should be pizza.
As I said before some more diversity would not hurt. We do have at least 3 very different factions in there though that usually disagree on a lot of things. Ainran, the (former) Goon swarm and us. Also some independent characters like MagicMan etc.
But ultimately the IP is not about diversity to have a democratic represantation of the playerbase. The game is JLo's project and they have a vision for it. They invited people who they thought could add to that vision and provide meaningful feedbalck. It won't actucally achieve anything to invite someone there who might represent a certain part of the playerbase when those players simply have completely different ideas on what the game should be than the devs.
That is my ultimate concern with many of these posts here too, especially from people like Troll. He is accusing us of not playing the game when he and people like him joined the game in a phase where it was not maintained at all. They came to know it as a big permadeath MOBA that sure makes your heart race because of how high combat investment is and all (and that is probably a fun and unique game in itself, I don't doubt that). For some time I feared that was what the devs vision had turned into as well and I wrote them some quite unpleasant pms about it, which I regret nowadays. Sorry Jorb
I am very happy to see Jorb's vision is still very much in line with what I always thought the came could be though. Permadeath and PvP only exist to make greater means come true and keep them in balance. This was never meant to be 5 people chasing 5 people through the woods. It can and should happen, sure. But it is not the vision of the game. There is so much potential for building societies, big towns, kingdoms etc. in the base line of this game that it should be realized and I was happy to hear Jorb is going to tackle these subjects in the future. HnH has the potential to build a unique virtual world, not just an amount of walled compounds people use to start their cheap ganks on a huge multiple lane map from so to speak (not that I have much clue about MOBAs).
And you know why we were so efficient? Because Pande had no idea how to deal with PvP and etc. You guys would say something like "oooh, we got numbers, we have done so much stuff, we should win!". What kind of input on PvP should we expect from people whos gameplay concentrates around forum talks and propaganda + sitting behind walls with great battle characters(sorry stickman). Moreover, many of you were out of playing the game for years.
The new combat system has changed a lot about this for me personally. I just think the old one was shit. And yes yes now people will come and tell me that only proves how much of a noob I am in combat, but seriously just because you think it was good doesn't make it true for everyone.
The new combat system has deep inherent flaws too, but the overall idea is much more approachable and I quite like the gyst of it. I should be able to give much better input on it too because it resembles a card game and let's just say I have played a lot of them and at decent levels. So I actually probably know a lot more of the theory behind it than most people here. Not that deck building is very complicated with the current set of cards, but still it might come in handy. Of course there is more to combat than that and I realise I am probably not the master of movement and all that stuff, but we have other people in IP for that even if certain people like to make fun of them. I think Nao gathering all the info Ainran has is valuable input.
@DPblH I would appreciate if we could keep this about the Inner Party and not your conspiracy theories. If you don't believe us, don't. Darki is just that type of player, he has crazy ideas about things other people wouldn't even dream about and that day he decided to go spam flags at our enemy's gates and play music while doing it. His annoying behavior actually got us 2 free kills when the enemies just started to ignore him and left us a free scout at their town. We don't use any bots this world except Darki's music script, so drop that discussion or make another conspiracy thread about the Sodom bot army...
