The main thing that sucks is how long it takes to heal. I had the 10-20 concussion damage and it seemed to heal quickly (before cold compress was introduced)

I hope they didn't tweak the concussion heal rate when cold compress isn't applied to be slower. It seems like it to me, but i am not sure. It seems to heal about 1-2 points per hour now without cold compress. I too am a long ways away from snow biome so haven't had a chance to test this new healing method.

I had a 50+ concussion myself due to bad ideas and poor execution. I deserved every bit of penalty I got. You should be lucky you still have your character. I know a guy, let's just call him "He who dances with bats", that was dreaming of becoming a fierceful warrior, until he aggroed a bunch of bats in a huge cave ... RIP his soul.

Dances with bats XD also how many did he aggro? i know bats can be intimidating but 15 agi, 15 Ua, and the right moves and bats are alot less intimidating.

He was probably referring to those new huge caverns in the caves. I found one that spawned about 8 groups of bats. I could see that ending badly for any character if they were all aggroed at once.

I must admit that i like the new damage system, but like a lot less the way in wich the damage heals, because most of the wounds take an awful lot of time to heal and besides some kind of wounds, many of them requires too much effort to heal, so much that often a new (2-3 weeks?) character is doing better suicide himself and start with a fresh one, wich have less LP but will gain far more stats much more easily. Damages that heals sssssloooowwwwwly will only promote alt creations (i've made one for that reason, at least i've a fresh alt to play when my forager-hunter is beaten, and may plan a new one only for mining/prospecting or the like...).

I think that a mechanic that may require more materials and may be quality dependant for healing wounds may work better than now for many wounds, like also the fell slash given often by bats, that cannot be healed by me because i still need to find fibers, and making clovers for wool is not possible if the forager have penalties in skills and cannot find the clovers. I support more receipts like the poultice that requires a bit of time, many items, but more linked to the yarrow, that heals more, or faster, if of better ql.

When you get a concussion that bad, it should force you to talk slowly... in... small... words... because... concussions... make... you... stupid....

how does your char not have permanent brain damage :o

EDIT: hay jorb there's an idea if you get to many concussions they split into a wound called permanent brain damage that lowers your stats and lasts forever ¦]

Another EDIT: What if you get too much permanent brain damage and then it breaks into a wound called hereditary brain damage that makes it so all future generations of that dynasty line have reduced stats ¦]
