I have a hard time visualizing any game mechanics -- even theoretically -- that would not give you some significant benefit from controlling multiple players, i.e. alts.

Nope, this is just how the game looks like. Haven without alts would be like cs:go without shooting, like Fifa without ball. If people don't like football, they shouldnt play fifa. If people don't like that its easier to max 1 out of all the stats than maxing all of them, they shouldnt play haven.

Instead of making an argument from authority (which you have none), try to use actual points. Please, use a well constructed argument to counter my point that survival should be hard, no alts, no bots, don't make it easier and painless like you guys want to and complain about.

I've read Jorb's statements and vision on the game. You die, you die. Game over, try again. It is supposed to be a survival game with real consequences and rewards. You know what, if Jorb would like to continue to hold your hand, kiss you goodnight, and serve you warm milk, then I suppose that is the direction of the game.
