If it is becoming popular to stringing English word in series as password, hacker can use this knowledge for attacks. In this case, possible symbol for using is not letter, but English word. Looking at is like this, ''correctstaplehorsebattery'' is effective 4 unit long password. This is not good, I think.

4-unit password is not very good if the number of possible units is relatively small (like, there are only 10 numbers and 26 letters etc). If you consider an English word as a single unit, take into consideration the amount of valid words in English language, as well.

This is true. I do not do this math, but I think considering only common English word is likely for picking, this amount is still less than possibility for 20+ character password of random character. This is maybe incorrect though, just some impressions.

This is the major issue with picking some words and combining them. People usually pick quite common words. And with some social engineering its relatively easy to include also things like your birthday and so on.

There's more than a few password dumps out there from hacks. All you have to do is look and see that there's a few thousand words and phrases that make up something like 99% of the passwords used in those dumps. How many people memorized bible verses, Shakespeare, plays, music, stupid mnemonics, etc? It's not hard coming up with long, memorable passwords. If you use it regularly and don't take the lazy way of having your browser save them, they're easier to remember from repeated use.

@onep: thanks for linking that. I was thinking about the same thing! :ugeek:
