speaking of low player numbers, what would be the best way to promote the game ? i can't even remember how i got here, i think it was a forum for a lineage 2 pirate server.

shitty graphics, complicated mechanics (steep learning curve), lots of assholes, huge gap between game stages, unknown game. probably many more reasons.

of these reasons the learning curve is the worst one, it got better thanks to quests. the gap between early-mid-late wouldn't be so bad if you knew what to do to advance without dying 300 times before learning the game (see learning curve).

If the learning curve had anything at all to do with the popularity of a game, Dwarf Fortress would still have fewer players than Haven. EVE would be stuck at 10k or fewer subscribers after 13+ years. I'd have never learned to actually fly an aircraft so I could pretend I was a fighter pilot blowing up tanks and bridges. (Ah... back in the good ol' days of PC games when difficulty started at "hard" and only got worse.)

I'll agree with the "lots of assholes," but it's an open world game with a lot of ways to fuck with other people and often too few ways to defend oneself. There are entire philosophical discussions written on this dating back hundreds and thousands of years. I don't expect two guys to get it right when major companies can't even get it right. The best that can be done is "get it right for their game and player base." I'd say that goal is mostly accomplished, even if flawed in many ways compared to other systems.

na w6 during lag was tots 50-100 all the time and i think w7 at the end was similar but closer to 200 and projareds vid came early w7 lel like rlly early i rememba cuz my boy cayur and i tried 2 kill him and he talkd about it in a vid ok it made us blush so hard tbh current haven isnt too bad tho needs some endgame content obviously not sure what tho and some minor bugs fixed id play now as i have nothing else 2 do with my life atm but it feels like work to play xDDD especially after my recent bullshitty deaths xDDD killme
