I have a good friend and a cousin who smoked weed to deal with their mental problems at a young age. My cousin started smoking around 16-17 to deal with anxiety, and by the time he was 21 he had dropped out of school twice and developed a learning disorder. A friend of mine developed drug-induced psychosis, where he would wake up in the middle of the night, scream and slam doors because his head was so messed up. I'm pretty sure he also developed a learning disorder or something because he seems a lot slower than he was before he started smoking. I doubt he'll ever be able to get a good education as he had planned in high school. Both their lives are ruined, I've only not fallen down their path by luck.

I know this might seem like an out of place post on a Eastern-Germanic lifestyle simulation board but it's a sensitive subject for me.

No matter how much people tell me, common sense and personal experience tells me that taking a drug that affects your brain chemistry at a young age while you're still growing is not good for you, no matter how much my government says it should be legal.

i had a friend that smoked weed and got so addicted he was stealing shit and even taking money from his mother wallet and now he is doing rap music which is quite mediocre but he thinks hes gangsta coz he knows a lot of skinny junkies that would kill you for 30 pln for weed xD ( implying that you cant defend against retarded 20 year old 20 kg uneducated stoner )

also he was taking meth to have better grades but he failed his year twice lol

Should alcohol be legal? Cigarettes? Caffeine?

Should every aspect of our lives be strictly controlled because that's what's best for us?

What about free will. What about being able to make your own decisions in life. Some people need that.

I judge people for doing these as well, but these effect your head less than weed does which is especially important at a young age. I would agree that these should be illegal, but they are already too far ingrained in society to be removed now (see: 1930s)

Where I live, the legal age is 18, but I do think it should be 21 like in the US or even 25.
