deer and below should be killable with 1 or 2 arrows.

Why should hunting only be done with bow and arrow? Let's not take changing the hunting system to such extremes. All combat should be legit when it comes to hunting, otherwise unarmed combat and melee combat become worthless for non-PvP casuals.

Why should hunting only be done with bow and arrow? Let's not take changing the hunting system to such extremes. All combat should be legit when it comes to hunting, otherwise unarmed combat and melee combat become worthless for non-PvP casuals.
Is this strictly bad though? I see PvE player complain ranged is too nerf. I see PvP player complain ranged is too stupid. Simple solution is to make ranged for PvE only and balance this for that and make melee PvP only and balance that for this.

Take inspiration from URW....tracking, stealth, trapping and stamina for animals too so you can fatigue them....they should be able to swim, and drink from rivers or stop to rest to restore their stamina. Wounded animals should lose stamina faster...

It is strictly bad if PvP combat is literally the only purpose of a skill. Theoretically in a server with only 1 person playing, all mechanics should still be relevant.
Realms don't protect against criminals, but give bonuses. Stealth doesn't protect against getting tracked, but you need it for crafting mirkwoods and other shit. Unarmed combat would be useless because no PvP... And that's it?
