Bad countries...

Any that destroy the one world we all share, ones narrow minded to anything other than themselves, nations that hurt people without care, and any nation that can not see a whole nation is never bad.

Sorry but 'muricans need a shakeup to wake them from their ignorance. I'll give them a rest.

I personally hate Americans, for many reasons, some of which are mentioned above. It is not trolling but a fact.

USA is a nation that does all of this frequently! They pollute the environment, more than any other country, they kill innocent people not only in their own country, but also outside of it!
Americans are the most self-centered and narrow minded people on earth, they don't bother to learn geography or even attempt to do anything to stop the horrors that their government is doing aboard or even inside their own borders!

many do, yes. I've been trying to knock heads around here for a couple decades now. We need more schooling in civil responsibility rather than just rehashing the same history every year. (How many times to I have to read about the American Revolution during my 12 years of formal schooling, and then likely again in college?)

Patriotism is a bad thing. It encourages blind loyalty to something that should be of service to a country's citizens and discourages free thought and speech. I didn't live through it, but this current fit of MAGA feels like McCarthism all over again. (I'd say thank God none of those asshats got elected to President, but... Truman.)

I don't think that americans are dumber or clever than anyone else. I mean, if we really want to make a graduatory between ethnic groups we could take into consideration the language they speak, but beyond that doesn't make really any sense to me.
Yeah English it's not that great from what they say ( of course it's not me saying that English is a bad language ) ..... but also it depends, for example Shakespeare English is considered a good English language.
It's not that we think and then we give a word about what we are thinking, we can only think based on how many words we know.
If an idea has no words related to express it, we are not capable to think about that idea ... just perhaps to sense it.

For example, when I talk in English it's hard for me when I want to use impersonal forms to express a general meaning ... looks to me that english language is very pragmatic, you require always to have a subject that does the action.
"It's said, It rains ... etc " ... they doesn't mean anything in English to me, "it" the thing, the globe, what? "rains" .... so it's always something that causes the action, "it" is causing the rain, while in Italian, "sta piovendo", would be just, "is raining", there is no subject at all, only verb ... it's just happening.
This give us the ability to think more at abstract ideas than English can.
German is considered the best language now ... indeed all the major philosophers are from there.

Edit: it's fun to me how mericans usually blame their educational system ... I don't know exactly why they are so pissed of by it, but also make sense to me: " if I'm dumb, it's cause they didn't teach me well " it's very pragmatic.

These days its easy to do a few google searches to learn about the world. So there are no valid reasons for being dumb.

You're right, that's an example of meaningless fluff in the english language. Something has to rain though. The rain doesn't come from nowhere and the rain doesn't happen nowhere.

You could as easily say there is rain here now, and not meantion the it at all. The it does refer, in abstract, to the sky or the place. This is inferred in abstract and I guess we become quite good at being able to assume to intended meaning. The other part is that this phrasing you mentioned allows us to be lazy with information we consider irrelevant. Do I need to mention the sky every time it rains? However, something is raining and it should be acknowledged. In english.

It does leave a lot of room for misinterpretation. Misunderstandings occur frequently. This happens less and less as people become more familiar with common phrases of speech and as individual relationships develop communication becomes more efficient and less misunderstandings occur.

My favourite word for proving how stupid most english speakers are is the word relationship, which nowdays the plebs all refuse to acknowledge could mean anything other than a romantic relationship. Ignorance hey, it's everywhere.

Yeah, but that "it" makes you think there is always a material thing that is the subject of the verb.
Btw I don't know a shit about languages, so better I shut up .... It was just one thing that I heard about the differences between English and Italian.

Edit: also modern Italian is not considered that good, they say we have too many adjectives to describe the meaning of the object. In short, they consider good only German :D maybe it's true, idk.
