It’s true that the most efficient and effective method of character progression is splitting up important roles between alts but I’ve always disliked that the game forces you in to activities that make you choose between creating secondary characters or for example ruining your stats because you have to perfom some labour intensive activity that requires you to keep your energy above 5k.
Of course, if you also want your alts to be the most efficient that they can be then you would need to purchase account verification and subscription for any subsequent accounts as well. You could simply have these alts all on one account but again for players that are attempting to increase their overall productivity this is not the most ideal method if you want to play on your main account while also performing some other tasks such as digging, mining, etc.
I don’t fault anyone for playing with this mindset but for me personally I don’t much enjoy trying to maintain more than one account/character at a time and yet in most cases it feels required in order to make any reasonable amount of progression whether it’s something as simple as creating an alt to create, extend and maintain claims rather than use a main character’s LP or for something more in-depth like a crafter alt.
I guess my point is that I agree playing on a single account would be a much more ideal situation and I would prefer to see store options that encourage and benefit players with this mentality over options that encourage the further use and abuse of alts/alt accounts. What that could be exactly or how it would be possible without major overhauls of specific mechanics to give less incentive to alt account creation and more incentive to the playing/maintaining of a single character/account I am not entirely sure.
